Biography
My name is Mason Mulnix and I believe life happens in cycles. Not necessarily bicycles, but cycles none the less. Before I dive right on into my beliefs on cycles, I first have to tell you a little but about myself. In high school I was never a strong student. A mix of laziness and poor time management made for a perfect 2.6 grade point average. Out of the many schools I applied to I was accepted to the University of Alabama. There I would sit in class for the first time with 40,000 reasons to try. That motivation pushed me to think critically about myself and how I do assignments in school. When asked in English 101 about my writing process I was already in the mindset of self-reflection in school. My writing process consists of two main the phases. The first of which is the “splurge phase”. The “splurge phase” is where I go through and write down all my thoughts as fast as they come to me. Ever since I was a little kid my mind has moved faster than my hands can type or write. This helps me have a base of writing and this phase is where most of the writing takes place. The next phase is a cycle of revisions that I go through and change. Focusing on things like grammar, message/audience, and detail I ensure that my writing is at the standard I want it to be at.
